Eng.: As Annie Webber from Design Sponge calls her “fauna curator”, Christan Summers, lives with partner Ivan Martinez in this beautiful nature and nurture apartment in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Everything in this space is in such harmony, from the beaten down wood bench and the long butcher`s block wood table to the traditional clay pots filled with plants of all sorts. In such a down to earth, nurture-and-nature kind of space, the surprise elements are the antique mirrors and furniture pieces found in the living area and in the bedroom. There are some retro pieces in the living room, but the retro style is quite easy to mix with pretty much everything. What I love about this apartment is that you would expect to find a singular nature inspired style throughout the space, when antique pieces just pop out in every corner. Quite an intriguing combination, but so beautifully put together.
